The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's Successful "Building on the Dream Capital Campaign" is Making Significant Investments in the Future of the District and Downtown
onstagepittsburgh.com: Downtown Pittsburgh’s Cultural District has come a long way since the depths of the ’70s and ’80s when it was Pittsburgh’s unofficial red-light District. From its inception in 1984, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has led the way in one of the nation’s most prominent comeback stories. Now, as the bustling neighborhood of theaters, galleries, restaurants, and shops recovers from perhaps its biggest challenge – the pandemic – the Cultural Trust is making substantial new investments in several strategic properties in the neighborhood.

I have been paying attention to the Pittsburgh cultural trust fund since the research that I had to do for a project. I’m really happy to see their support on local art community. In the beginning of the Pittsburgh cultural trust, they have been working on benefiting the local community and making areas in Pittsburgh safer for artists and businesses to grow. Until nowadays, they are still helping local community and business to get more chances in expanding their business and enhance the local art scene in Pittsburgh. Through my research, I have also learned about the different theaters, also talked about in the article, and how these theaters have helped Pittsburgh residents to be passion about the new future and changed the gray scene in Pittsburgh when the cultural trust fund first started. It is really inspiring and interesting to see what Pittsburgh cultural trust fund have done.
