Honestly it is sad that my first thought when opening this article was I hope no one got hurt. I am sure there was some emotional or psychological harm, but I expected there to be physical violence and I'm really glad to hear that there was not. It's so disheartening that no matter how hard as a society we try to progress that these oppressive violent groups still exist. I want to believe people have the best intentions for their fellow human beings and there are still neo-Nazis.
I have no idea what this Neo Nazi group was thinking because any patron who was coming to support this show obviously cares about you know anti-semitism and you know. it might be a situation of there's no such thing as bad press. There was another article this week that talked about feeling a sense of community and acceptance within theater and how the reality is that it is not accepting of all identities. It is reassuring how many different theatrical aligned organizations spoke out and offered their support for the production.
