We love a business woman. It is iconic of Rihanna to wear her own products for her first performance in over half a decade. After an incredibly memorable performance, I just know that people were moving on with their lives while thinking about Fenty Beauty. If you know who Rihanna is, you are aware of her beauty brand. It could’ve been predicted that she would incorporate her brand in some way shape or form. But the product placement was taken to a whole new level when Rihanna touched up her makeup on stage halfway through the half-time performance. It’s one thing to wear your brand it is a whole different move to have everyone watch you use the product. Rihanna is smart, she knew that people would be talking about her performance and her pregnancy but she wanted to make sure that everyone was talking about how good she looked and what was responsible for her iconic look. Now.. I’m not saying that Rihanna’s classic red lip had anything to do with the Chiefs going on to win the Super Bowl but- I will say that perhaps it was more than just a coincidence.
I think it's really cool that Rihanna did this during her performance, as even if anybody in the audience didn't know that she had a makeup brand, they would now be so much more aware of it. I think it also shows that she trusts her own product, and especially since she actually uses it, ( or at least pretended to actually use it), that will prompt anybody in the audience who is maybe thinking about buying your products or who had just found out about her products for the first time to buy them. I also appreciate the lack of subtlety that she used during this promotion. I think it was really cool that she just brought the makeup out in the middle of the performance and almost made a bigger deal out of it than she had to. Honestly speaking, fenty beauty is a brand I trust pretty heavily, and I think it's cool that she's promoting it to other people in the audience.
