Part of me is happy that performances are going on and arts are being supported, but it feels strange to me the way everything is being treated as almost back to normal, I admittedly don’t know all the statistics by heart but at least generally in America the numbers are incredibly high for cases and climbing. The general vibe that I get is that the restrictions are there but that we are through the pandemic just by virtue of more things opening up again, more people being out, and just generally the world more resembling what was there before, but which by numbers is not true. I worry that it is not enough and that it was too early to just say that everything was fine. There truly don’t seem to be many interior places that can function effectively and safely right now, including many of the food halls and hallways on the campus.
