www.archpaper.com: This week, Sphere Entertainment announced the location for a second iteration of its perfectly round performance venue that captured headlines in Las Vegas. It’s not in London, South Korea, or even West Hollywood. Rather, the landmark building will be situated not far from Burj Khalifa and Aldar Headquarters in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

I am such a Sphere fan. The Sphere is just such a cool concept that really broadens the limits of scenic design and ties modern day technology to create some of the coolest memories for an audience member. I was shocked to learn that Madison Square Garden Entertainment was a part of the initial idea. I'm bummed to see that it won’t be built in London, but very interested in how it will attract people in Abu Dhabi. I’m not familiar with the entertainment culture in UAE, but I know that it will attract more tourists to this beautiful city.
