Though I do not know who Amanda Gougelmann is and this is my first time hearing about ACT entertainment, I clicked on this article because ACT entertainment is located in Burbank CA and I felt like I should know the entertainment companies in this area. I learned that Amanda is part of the Software Support Team and ACt Entertainment and it was super interesting to hear a background in theater design and technology and how that can lead to a software career. Here roles as a dual designer and programmer was interesting and learning about her day-to-day responsibilities of the Team was super insightful for me to understand what exactly she does and what a career like this looks like. I thought the discussion on artificial intelligence and its potential impact on lighting and lighting consoles was very intriguing too. There are a lot of uncertainties about artificial intelligence's role in the entertainment industry and I find it interesting to hear people's opinions on it, especially from someone with this role in the industry.
