Although I’m not exactly a superfan of the movies listed in this experience, I love the idea of the whole thing. When audiences love a movie, they often want to be immersed in the world of the movie, and it sounds like Wonderverse is going to allow them to do just that. I specifically like the idea of the escape rooms, but that’s just because I personally love escape rooms. What I think would be really fun is a fantasy-focused Wonderverse. Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones themes would create such a neat world. However, I can see the appeal of these more mainstream movies because there’s definitely a specific demographic that watches and likes these movies (*cough* white men) that will be willing to spend the money to go to these attractions. That demographic is often not the focus in theme parks such as Disney World and Universal.

Hearing about wonderverse I wondered what it was. Personally, Uncharted is still one of my favorite game series to date. I was disappointed that the movie did not follow game lore however as a stand alone it was not terrible. It just was not the uncharted I knew. I think that Sony putting this immersive experience together is an interesting idea. This is the first I’ve heard outside of Disney about an experience related to movies like this. However, it seems like they are bringing together a great group of movies for an immersive experience. I personally love escape rooms and when playing the Uncharted games, I know how much of it depended on being able to escape the room Drake was currently in. I am also excited to hear about the need for speed racing experience. Honestly the entire building just seems like an amazing experience and I hope to be able to make it out to the Oakbrook center soon.
