like I’ve said, in many news comments before I hate burning man with a fiery passion. Nothing about it seems like the original idea of the festival: and environmental Haven, where people can experience music and transcend or something along those lines. The fact that they just go into the desert and destroy the ecosystem and rape the land and litter for 10 days makes this something that I hate a lot. if I were the artist, I would’ve not been OK with this being the place in which my artist is shown. It is just a terrible, terrible venue and I’ve honestly never seen anything cool or exciting. Come out of it because of all of the dumb and ignorant ideas that come from it. why would you want your art to be at a place that is basically just an environment for rich people to do drugs and exploit those around them? Very sad. I see no positive two burning man and I wish that these artists did not have to participate in this experience.
I’ve never really cared about Burning Man but this really caught my attention. The ‘Temple of the Moon’ looks so well made and it’s very well designed. I love how the center piece is inspired by a real plant, the ‘Queen of the Night.’ I never knew that this particular plant existed, and based on their description, it sounded like a mystical plant you find in a fantasy story. I ended up looking it up and it turns out it’s a real plant that only blooms at night. This is a kind of work I wish I could see in person or be some kind of permanent structure for tourism or a social spot in a popular area. Especially because this area is left with so much trash by the end of the event, I feel designs and work like this should be placed somewhere where it can be better appreciated.
