Meet the man behind the costumes of the Winter Olympics' opening ceremony
www.msn.com: If Massimo Cantini Parrini were to compete in an event at the Winter Olympics, he would likely fit best in speed skating.
Moving fast has been the main trait marking the latest project of the Italian costume designer, who is known for his work in theater, movies and TV series that earned him several local accolades and international recognition, including two Academy Award nominations.

This article is so interesting! I watched a lot of the Olympics this year. One of my favorite parts of the Olympics was to look at all of the differences in the uniforms and equipment that all of the sports require. I truly find it fascinating how some sports can be so similar, but have a completely different set of gear to go with it! Out of all the events, figure skating definitely has some of the most interesting uniforms (or costumes). The opening ceremony is a whole other ball game. It is essentially the most patriotic fashion show ever. Most countries have top tier designers that go all out! Massimo Parrini must have been so stressed. I am really curious why they only gave him one year, especially since they have been planning this for many years. He made all of the costumes for the opening ceremony just starting in August!
