PBS News: If you or your child are planning to borrow to help pay for college this fall, get ready for your student loan options to look a lot different. President Donald Trump's signature One Big Beautiful Bill Act, passed by Congress last year, made the most expansive changes to federal student loan borrowing and repayment in decades.

The process of being able to acsess higher education in the united state is really complicated and terrible. First you have to do the insane process of applying to schools in the first place, and it takes alot of work to get in places and decide which one you want to go to. Then on top of that they all come with varying, but often ridiculous prices. Then financial aid offers from each specific school are different. Once you figure all that out, you still have to figure out how you’re going to pay for it, which surprise!! Includes figuring out how to get student loans!! Which now, has been made even more complicated and difficult to access. The whole thing makes accessing higher education so much more difficult for anyone who isn’t upperclass. It’s really upsetting to know that so many people won’t get the opportunities they want to study, simply because they cannot afford it.
