Live Nation to Operate New Amphitheater in Cleveland
www.ticketnews.com: Bedrock and Rock Entertainment Group have unveiled plans for a 6,200-seat outdoor amphitheater along downtown Cleveland’s Cuyahoga River, marking the first new large-scale music venue built in the city in more than two decades.

I am quite excited and believe that outdoor amphitheaters should be installed in more places and hold a larger capacity of people than the typical outdoor amphitheater. Especially with the post-COVID demand of concerts and live performances, this would be a great opportunity to create a space where art can properly be showcased. When I was in high school, I was lucky enough to go see Taylor Swift when she was on her Eras tour in Philly. We were seated in the topmost section, only a few rows away from the very back. While I had a fabulous time watching the performance with my friends, I could not help but notice the consistent reverberation from the metal stadium. After all, it was a stadium and not acoustically designed for a live music performance. While it would be hard and probably impractical to create such a large outdoor amphitheater and to replicate that in other places, it is definitely a cool shot and I am interested in seeing how outdoor event acoustics develop in the future.
Oh great, just what we needed, another Live Nation venue in a major city! I genuinely think at this point Live Nation, not only a owner of over 400 venues worldwide, but also Ticketmaster, is just making a monopoly. Not only have they been sued, many many times, over their whole ticketmaster hidden fees activity, but some talent avoids them because of how crappy they are to work with. However, unfortunately I do like how they are doing an Amphitheater and having concerts outside rather than an indoor venue. It’s awesome having concerts outside in nature, being around friends, and seeing stars in the background as an added natural lighting element. It will certainly bring more revenue to Cleveland’s industry, and will definitely help the economy to a certain extent. I think it should be a pretty good venue as Live Nation certainly has money, and I am very glad it’s not another ball with LEDs on it.
