I really admire Luana Moreno's attitude toward her job and her constant persistence to continue working and stand up for herself despite frequent sexism in the industry. I also love that she points out that there are many issues with the music/live entertainment industry, as I see many people who are passionate about their work choose to ignore these things. The fact is that they do exist, and in my opinion, the best way to change them is to point them out so people are on the same page about them. Additionally, the fact that she got only small amounts of formal education on sound yet is quite successful is something I think about a lot. There are undoubtedly many people involved in theater who did not get a degree in theater, and this sometimes makes me wonder about the value of it. It is not that I am changing my mind, I am just curious how success is with or without a degree.
