I can't say say that Festool makes bad tools, because they don't, but I will say that it does not seem worth it for the price. I do think that it is cool that you can hook up a vacuum hose to this saw, but for the $600 price I could instead buy 6 DeWalt reciprocating saws. I think that Festool is similar to Snap-on in that way, they do make some tools that seem connected to the brand name (Festool has their track saw, Snap-on has torque wrenches). However, I think that a reciprocating saw like this is not worth it to buy just for the Festool name, and instead would be better to go with another main-stream tool brand like DeWalt, Milwaukee, Mikita, etc... It doesn't seem like Protoolreviews has much to say about it and the price point, other than explaining the tool and what it can do. I'd be curious to see of other people share my thoughts on this tool.
