I absolutely adore ballet and how delicate it appears, despite how difficult and relentless the training is. The Pittsburgh Ballet Theater's season looks like it is going to be filled with stunning visuals and performances! The Nutcracker is obviously a must have for any ballet season, but I am excited to see the piece, "Light in the Dark." After reading the brief synopsis I am very interested in how the choreography will portray this story and the love and loss within this woman/couple life. Ballet is such a beautiful art form, therefore when stories such as this one are portrayed it shows that even the most beautiful things can possess a dark backstory and meaning. Which is why I absolutely adore the duality that ballet can possess through just the human body. It takes a lot of skill and concentration to conduct such a piece and I am happy to see the variety in which the Pittsburgh ballet posses within their dances.
