As new technologies are developed, I think it’s very important that we learn how to incorporate this new tech into the theater industry. Using drones to create live lighting shows is such a cool new technology that has so many different uses. While it’s not quite yet commonplace and it’s still pretty rare to see one of these live drone shows, I have seen many videos of light shows that utilize drones. As the technology continues to be developed, new advancements are made in the development of drones, and more companies start to make use of them, I think it’s likely that we will start seeing a lot more of these types of shows. We may start seeing them during outdoor concerts, special events, or even huge shows like the superbowl halftime show. I hope that this technology continues to be pursued and I can’t wait to see the new ways it’s used.
