There seemed to be such a varying opinion on this play. Firstly, in think that in general Jermey O’Harris is such a promising writer. Both of his other works Euphoria and Slave Paly were huge hits, although Euphoria definatley also caused some controversy. I think from just reading the reviews of this play there was definitely a split on the melodrama aspect of the play. Some people saw that aspect and thought that it added to the meaning of the play. But other reviews seemed to totally miss this aspect of the play and then call it too much. The first review was probably the most critical of it, but I do agree that three hours is probably too long to have a slow moving plot set in. In technical aspects the show looks incredible, after looking at pictures the use of a pool on stage is something that I haven’t really seen much. I think that this show has a lot of potential.
