I usually avoid Trump-focused content because I would prefer to forget about his presidency, and we spent so long talking about him constantly that continuing to talk about him feels like it is keeping him alive somehow. However, inevitably people are going to create political productions, and I am more open to something comedic like this. I appreciate that it is not focused on Trump himself and his behavior, rather showing people around him. I also love Rachel Dratch and Vanessa Williams, so I would probably see this just for their performances, as well as to see the high-heeled Crocs mentioned in the review by Diep Tran. However, it seems that reviewers were not fans of the jokes, and it seems based on the reviews that the humor was not as direct or focused as it needed to be, although some reviewers applauded the performance from the cast and costume design.
