www.broadwayworld.com: LOVE ALL, a new play by Anna Deavere Smith and directed by Marc Bruni will explore the life and career of the legendary Billie Jean King.
Produced by Harriet Newman Leve and Stephanie Sandberg, LOVE ALL will have a reading the first week of August as part of the New York Stage and Film 2022 Summer Season.

I love the idea of this show. The story of Billie Jean King is a truly inspiring one and taking that story to the stage is a really good idea and will no doubt be successful. I also love that Billie Jean King herself is collaborating on the project. This will ensure that it is a true telling of her life and message. It is always so much better when the real life person that a show, movie, or play is about is involved in the writing and creation of the production. It makes a much better and true to life product than an unconnected, but well intentioned and researched person would. The play writes method of theatre is also very interesting. Taking lots of clips of interviews and piecing them together to create a whole different message and art form is super interesting and will be very fun to watch.
