The First Cabaret Theater in the Slavic World: An Interview with Lafayette
The Theatre Times: Belgrade and Serbia have a three-century-long history of theatre. Along with the development of theatrical forms in Western Europe, the theater was growing in, then small, Kingdom of Serbia. However, one theatrical form never found its way to not only Belgrade but the whole of Eastern Europe and the Balkans – Cabaret. Exclusively for The Theater Times, we bring you the story of the first cabaret theater in the Serbia – Lafayette.
