Two Lighting Solutions For Exhibits With Low Ceilings
Rosco Spectrum: The making of the world-famous Emmentaler cheese can be traced back to the 12th century in the Swiss Emme valley. And now, thanks to the Königsweg tour inside the Emmentaler show dairy in Affoltern, Switzerland, visitors can learn more about the history, production process and the secret of the cheese’s characteristically large holes – all while savoring the distinctive nutty flavor of the delicious Emmentaler cheese. Comprised of eight rooms inside the cellar, the attraction includes dioramas and other exhibits that are illuminated by Rosco Miro and Pica Cubes to showcase the dairy’s history by enhancing the displays with dramatic lighting.

This article talks about a challenge that I had never really thought about: how to put lighting in an area that has a low ceiling?
For me, I never really accounted the fact that it is one thing to have the lights in your hands to put them on. What I had never accounted was the fact that however much lighting one can possibly have, if they don't have the space to put or hang these lighting devices in a way where their wiring or their big bodies are not visible, because seeing that would not be the best feel.
I believe that this must be a problem that a lot of people who are involved in the design and install of lighting devices would be facing quite often: the ceiling being too high, too low, less surface area, less beams to hide the devices etc.
A solution provided for this article seems to be the use of LED bulbs. They are small, bright and easy to handle: no wonder people at the cheese museum were so motivated to use it.
