Production Design Stefan Beese | Game Changer Gala Part Two

www.livedesignonline.com/concerts: I was recently honored to be the production designer for a rewarding fundraiser gala, “The Game Changer Gala,” held in Seattle on November 9, 2018. The Game Changer Gala team, organized by Team Gleason and the Answer ALS Foundations, drew from our fundraising experience to produce a star-studded event that raised $3.3 million to help empower people who are living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) while also seeking a treatment or cure.

Just by looking at the pictures you can tell how much work went into all of this. One thing I think is kind of funny is that some of the typography looks like Macklemore's new album. I went to go see him live and he had typography - white words on blue - and it looks exactly like the "Gemini" typography at this event. I really love looking at all of the media design because I think it is really interesting and I would love to try more, although I am not sure I would actually want to do it. There are so many possibilities with media for the future and it is such a versatile tool that once learned has a lot of applications. Another reason I like media design is because it is not just theater. There are so many art installations and corporate things that use media. It is a growing field and I am excited to see where it goes.
