2013 Henry Hewes Design Award Winners Named
Stage Directions: The Henry Hewes Awards, which honors the best in design for Broadway, Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway, have named their 2013 winners. Mimi Lien won in the category of Scenic Design for her work on Natasha and Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812. Ann Roth won for Costume Design to her work on The Nance. The Hewes for Lighting Design went to Jane Cox for her work on The Flick. And Peter Nigrini won the Notable Effects category, which includes design work in “sound, music, video, puppetry and other creative elements” for his video design for Here Lies Love. The awards committee considered more than 200 productions.
