Georgetown University's Department of Performing Arts welcomes applicants for a Technical Advisor (TA) for its active programs of co-curricular theater and dance, and select departmental projects. The TA advises student theater groups on production management, season planning, design and collaboration, including all aspects of the technical process and leadership; s/he oversees safety, spaces, training, and resource management, mentors designs, and attends student board meetings. Candidates must bring strong production, advisement and communication skills. The TA works closely with an Artistic Advisor, the academic department and its production team, and coordinates the props shop. If qualified, s/he may teach, stage manage, or design once a year. BA required, MA or MFA preferred. EVENING/WEEKEND HOURS MANDATORY. Experience in professional or teaching contexts key, CAD a plus.
