Jim Lehrer’s New Play, ‘Bell,’ Is Opening in Washington
NYTimes.com: Jim Lehrer is sitting in the second row of a nearly empty auditorium watching a rehearsal with a pen poised over a script open on his lap. He marks up the text with a newsman’s precision, squinting intently at the page. As the scene onstage comes to an end, he leans back to ponder.

I find it inspiring that a man in his later age can have the will and the passion to go back and do what he always aspired to do. It just goes to show that it's never too late to try something out or even revisit it. I do find it interesting though that he felt he had to go back and do the last presidential election. I think that stems from the idea that once you have created a reputation for yourself you are expected to uphold it and stay in your niche. But that does't always have to be the case. I think I too would also like to be labeled as someone who does one thing but also has another passion; it shows a good sense of variety of skill.
