Stage Notes: Off the Wall Productions creating new home in Carnegie
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Off The Wall Productions has a new home for its upcoming sixth season, making the move from Washington, Pa., to Carnegie.
Hans and Virginia Gruenert, the managing and artistic directors of the 6-year-old company, bought an empty building at 25 W. Main St. and are in the process of having it converted to a 94-seat theater with a lobby that can accommodate concessions. A business development grant from the Borough of Carnegie helped to facilitate the move.

It is always heart warming to hear about or see people doing theater for the sake of art and to exercise their love of theater. People like the Gruenerts remind me why I love theater and inspire me to further pursue that passion, not only to satisfy myself, but to bring culture to my community. In making smart decisions and having practical ideas, "Off the Wall" will hopefully prosper and aid in the survival of live theater all over the United States. If more theater was produced by lovers of theater like the Gruenerts, the art would not only be more rewarding to those making it and to those witnessing it, but also will become a source of pleasure and not just a job(in the case of commercial theater. People like those at "Off the Wall" remind me why I LOVE THEATER.
I could never imagine having to start a theatre company of my own. It's great that people are still beginning new theatre programs. Live theatre is such an important part of our community in how it helps to change how people choose to express themselves. I also highly value the preservation of old art forms. Therefore, I'm glad that companies are still opening new theatres especially in the areas that are lacking large theatres or successful companies already.
