I see this as a great application for projections, but I still hold a strong desire for old theatre and old tactics for accomplishing feats rather than loading a show up with tons of digital media. I've seen some shows that used projections beautifully, but I've also seen some that chose to totally replace their lighting design and light plot with projectors. A large part of the show was taken away and I found it hard to enjoy it. I still fully acknowledge that projectors are great tools for high-end, well paid for productions and can enjoy projection implemented shows, but I will never lose respect for great budgeted show.
