Backstreet Boys & NKOTB -- Stagehand Sues Over Dangerous Man Hole
TMZ.com: You're not the only one who thought last year's Backstreet Boys/New Kids on the Block tour was painful -- a stagehand claims he was nearly killed before a concert ... after falling through a hole ... and now, he's suing the bands.
William Wesley Styron filed the lawsuit in Tennessee, claiming he was hired to set up for the boy bands' show at Fedex Forum in Memphis on June 20th, 2011.

Safety on any stage is important, and the fact is that the Backstreet Boys & NKOTB had an unsafe stage. I think the stagehand is completely right about how there should have been a cone or something next to around the hole, because often as stagehands, work is done in the dark where you can't see the floor all too well. If the stage was well lighted and the hole was clearly visible, then there would be some reason for conflict.
I can fully see the wrongs on both ends of this lawsuit. If the accusations are true, then the production should have made sure that there were caution signs posted throughout the theatre. However, on a crew, it is absolutely crucial that everyone is fully aware of the environment. The technician, especially as being part of a crew doing his job, should have been looking where he was going. Obviously both parties are in the wrong here.
