Choreographer Simmons seeks ‘moments of encounter’

TribLIVE: Education should be a transforming experience, but some of its most lasting impressions may take place outside the classroom. Shana Simmons was doing graduate work in choreography in London when she went to a festival called “The Moment” that blew her away. It was a collaboration about improvisation involving many genres of artistry that was experienced as a tour through two buildings.
