Schedule and coordinate all Emerson College internal use of the theatre performance and production support facilities of the Office of the Arts, including but not limited to, the Cutler Majestic Theatre, Paramount Theatre, Semel and Greene Theaters, Black Box Theatre, Bright Family Screening Room, Paramount Studios and scene shop. Primary responsibility is to provide client interface and support for all Emerson College events and theatrical productions. Support the strategies and operations of the production department. Manage the Paramount studios pertaining to use policy and equipment allocation and inventory. Train and supervise students as needed. Support the artistic and technical needs of all clients, outside, internal and student. Support the strategies and operations of the production department. Collaborate and interface with other Emerson departments as needed. Work with technical operations team to provide superior production values for all activities of the Office!
 e of the Arts. May teach classes or courses based upon the requests of academic departments, subject to availability.


Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks Review Office of the Arts Venue Requests made by Emerson College Academic or internal departments and organizations. Approve and schedule all internal events and theatrical productions in coordination with the Director of Production and Facilities. Provide clients with detailed estimate for technical and staffing requirements. Plan and oversee the execution of all Emerson College internal events and departmental Theatrical productions. Complete all internal invoicing as assigned

 *   Schedule and coordinate all site visits and production meetings for internal events and theatrical productions. Attend Emerson Stage production meetings when necessary. Attend weekly scheduling and catering meetings.
 *   Complete daily updating of all production schedules in all shared electronic calendars and databases.
 *   Production Manage Events or Theatrical Productions for ArtsEmerson and External leases as assigned. Providing project facilitation, organization, communication amongst technical departments and onsite management as required.
 *   Manage the Paramount studios pertaining to use, policy, equipment allocation, and inventory.
 *   Serve as Technical Supervisor on Duty(TSoD) for shows, events, work calls and rehearsals as assigned. The TSoD will be responsible for backstage safety, implement the Emergency Evacuation Plan when necessary, communicate with Front of House personnel, communicate with outside users and crews, maintain and protect house equipment, enforce house rules, and supervise part-time Emerson employee stage crew members and stage door supervisors.
 *   Obtain quotes and pricing as directed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Education (including hardware, software, and equipment)

Bachelors degree in theatre, with demonstrated experience in Venue Management and scheduling Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask, prioritize.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experienced with Word and Excel; familiar with or able to learn additional computer software (database programs, design software, payroll and time reporting programs, calendar/scheduling programs, email programs, etc.)

Preferred/Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Education (including hardware, software, and equipment)

Experience with EMS scheduling Software.

Required Prior Work Experience
Three or more years experience in the operations of a performing arts venue.
Three or more years experience in Production Management
