As an Apple Notes and and Reminders purist I was curious if wire cutter had any to-do list suggestions that are better than the current system I have developed. I have heard of TickTick as a company I worked for used it as a production management tool however I have not considered using in for personal uses. Personally I do not think there is any chance I will be upgrading my To-Do list tools as I have developed a system thru bullet journals, Google tasks and reminders that works very well for me, but I do see the value to an out of the bot progress tracker that just works for people who so not want to develop their own system. I would like to see how the apps beside TickTick work with many users and if there is potential to use these tools as production management tools as well as personal tracking tools.

As someone who constantly has a million tabs open on my computer, reminders, and notes app to-do lists, I would really appreciate new suggestions for organization and to-do lists apps. With my brain moving 1000 miles per minute, I often forget why I walked into a room or what work I need to complete for the day. As a (broke) college student, I am going to be trying out TickTick and Things3, and see how those can help me improve my daily routine. Especially as a CMU student, time management is super crucial to live a balanced and healthy life, so hopefully these apps can make any college student's life just slightly easier to navigate. As a proud Mac and Apple user, I’m pleased that both of these apps are supported by Apple, as not every phone company supports these free planning apps. In addition, I do have a physical planner, but as technology advances, there is a convenience to having everything I need in one place; on my computer. I am downloading these applications as I am taking breaks between typing this, in hopes that this will help straighten up the itineraries I have in my brain right now.

Ah, another (useful) entry in the highly competitive opinions about which is the superior do list app articles. I was curious to see if this list would have a platform I had never had to deal with before in my many try outs of these apps and there was one! I had never heard of TickTick before, and it seems like a really interesting alternative to the paid variants of To-do apps. I’ve tried the free trials for Todoist and other similar apps but I have yet to find one that works for me (at least better than the weird combination of the Notes app, Google Calendar and push alerts I’m currently using to stay on top of my schedule and work. I think it’s possible that any app could work for anyone, but the work of transitioning to a different ecosystem is challenging and time consuming in itself. That being said, I’m going to look into TickTick, I’m curious to see how it works first hand.
