This is a very cool story because they implemented this load sensor without using any electricity and it is still accurate at any height the tower can reach. I do wonder why it took so long for them to design this kind of load sensor, but I can also imagine it being a headache to have a load sensor at a static height when the lift is moving at variable heights. I had never used one of these lifts before last year when we were setting up for Penelope, and I was intrigued by what other applications these lifts could be used. I haven't been able to get a very clear answer on how these might be preferred over a forklift, because from how we used it it was just to lift a load up and down. I would assume the top loading tower could be good for putting things into a ceiling, but I still don't know about the applicable uses of the front loading tower.
