This article was really nice to read and write about. I absolutely love how the unions are collaborating to make sure everyone can be represented. The shrinking of the writers room is quite unfortunate and ideally I’d prefer that the writers room not get shrunk, however, it is nice to see that WGC and IATSE are working to make that strain easier on writers. It also made me wonder that, because many writers around the world are facing issues, will other writers' guilds join the strikes soon. I really loved the quote from the IATSE Director of Canadian Affairs John Lewis: “Whether entry-level or otherwise, all work has value and the people performing that work deserve to have a voice. The IATSE is pleased to welcome these workers, and we are looking forward to a collaborative relationship with the WGC. Our voice is strongest when we speak together.”
