I think this article gives us a lot to think about how artificial intelligence and art will work together in the future. I mean we can’t escape it or ban it, you already see videos of AI generated art, or prompts popping up all over instagram and tik-tok. It will only get more integrated into our lives and I think this article explores and excellent question about AI art and copyright. I think its an excellent question because we have to ask ourselves again to redefine what we think art is. Is art something only humans can make? Or is AI human made because humans programmed AI? How can we claim the words we put into artificial intelligence and the things it produces for us? I am 100% sure that my knowledge about artificial intelligence and how it works is almost near to nothing and so talking about this and exploring this is a bit of a stretch for me, but I think I agree with the ruling, how can you copyright something or an idea you did actually make or come up with yourself? I mean can you claim the essay chat GBT wrote for you after you made like a four word request, no.

I think it is really interesting that celebrities are already having to look into how to manage their data that is being used by AI and third parties that use AI. What I am more curious about is how exactly the company Metaphysic can claim to help manage and protect their clients data when there aren’t even official court rulings on how AI and copyright affect each other. This article Metaphysic pro also claims that it will help their clients like Tom Hanks, Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer and many more high profile celebrities not only “manage” their data but how to get algorithms to create their face/likeness for their own uses. I think its interesting that celebrities are so willing to jump onto the AI movement. You think they would be very hesitant to supply information to anything that well, acts like them for a better world because that is literally how they make their living. This company claims that it will help these celebrities how to manage and protect their data but I just wonder how effective it will be considering you aren't even allowed to claim or copyright AI work, at least legally yet.

Artificial Intelligence within creative industries is a very complicated issue and debate. I think that AI really shouldn't be near creative projects, as so much of what art is is human experience. Especially when it comes to all of the deep fake things with faces and voices, it feels terrible knowing that anyone could be on video saying or doing anything without having any actual involvement. This is one of the things that the strike is debating, rightfully so, and as much as I don't like that things like this are being normalized. I understand that it is probably better to create ways to make it more ethical as it will most likely not be going away. I think that the arts field is under attack by greedy corporations that want to use this technology as a way to not pay people for work while still being able to profit off of their likeness.

Every day it seems that something new is going on in the world of AI. It is causing numerous strikes currently in our industry but in a groundbreaking move at the intersection of technology and entertainment, the renowned actors Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer, and Tom Hanks have embarked on an exciting journey with Metaphysic, a pioneering generative AI tech firm. Metaphysic has unveiled a revolutionary system aimed at empowering actors and individuals to navigate the intricate realm of their personal data, including their distinctive likeness and voice. It is interesting to see this kind of approach after so many people have been so angry and afraid. But, this innovative approach not only reinforces the importance of data ownership but also introduces a new paradigm for celebrities and public figures seeking to protect their digital identities. The intersection of AI and entertainment promises a fascinating future where privacy and control over personal data take center stage. I just hope that eventually, it is able to stay civil and respectful to all, something that hasn’t quite been achieved yet.

In the landscape of technology and entertainment, the recent collaboration between renowned actors Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer, Tom Hanks, and the AI tech firm Metaphysic is a notable development. Metaphysics' announcement of a new tool aimed at handling AI likeness rights reflects the growing importance of AI in the entertainment industry. This partnership highlights the increasing role of generative AI in creating realistic digital representations of actors, which can be a game-changer in filmmaking. With these advanced tools, actors like Hathaway, Spencer, and Hanks can potentially license their digital likenesses for various applications, from digital doubles in movies to virtual reality experiences. However, it also raises important questions about the future of actors' rights and ethical considerations surrounding AI-driven portrayals. As technology blurs the line between reality and simulation, discussions around consent, privacy, and artistic control will become paramount. This collaboration between A-list talent and cutting-edge AI technology underscores the industry's need for clear guidelines and ethical frameworks as it ventures into this exciting yet uncharted territory.
