'Hoard' Brings the Heat at off the WALL
Entertainment Central Pittsburgh: Don’t know about you, but I enjoy two-person plays. It really only takes two to tangle, and watching a well-conceived pair of characters go at it, live on stage, makes for an intensely personal experience. Which is what’s offered in the new play Hoard at off the WALL productions (through March 21). Playwright Lissa Brennan, known to many Pittsburgh theater fans for her ferocious acting, has cooked up a hot one here.

I don't know much about this play but from what I have read in this article, it seems very interesting. The few photos in the article make it look like it have a very detailed set, and it looks very effective considering the source material it is working off of. I think that the idea of a two person play can really be a hit or miss, depending on the subject matter of the play. Sometimes, a two person play like Christopher Durangs "Odd Couple" can get a little boring and repetitive, since it is about a relationship that has very little changes. I am awaree there are more than 2 characters in the odd couple but most of the play is. I would love to have an opportunity to see this show, and the actors look like they performed as fantastically as the article says they did. Articles like this are really making me miss live theatre right now.
