Newcity Stage: “Sir Andrew is not retiring!” insisted Lyric Opera’s general director, president and CEO Anthony Freud.
“I decided it’s time to slow down,” Sir Andrew intoned.
This past year was a magical one for some 47.8 million U.S. citizens aged sixty-five and up: they retired. The generation of baby boomers (born between 1946 and 1964) is retiring at a rate of 10,000 per day.
