City Theatre announces furloughs due to COVID-19 cancellations

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Mandated closings have hit local theaters already in production hard, and now City Theatre is the first to announce furloughs due to the cancellation of the remainder of its season.

"We are only days into this crisis, and already City Theatre is facing cash losses of over $450,000,” read a joint statement released Sunday morning by the South Side theater’s board of directors, artistic director Marc Masterson and managing director James McNeel.
