Metropolitan Opera Lays Off All Union Employees After March 31

Coronavirus Live Updates : NPR: New York's Metropolitan Opera — the largest performing arts organization in the United States by budget — has laid off all of its union employees for the duration of the coronavirus crisis, NPR has learned. The layoff includes all of the opera's orchestral players, chorus singers and stagehands.
