Helly Hansen Luna Collection | New Women's Workwear

PTR: For those of you in the trades who don’t happen to be “man-shaped”, we feel for you. Traditionally, there hasn’t been a whole lot to choose from when it comes to workwear. The Helly Hansen Luna Collection aims to fix that and (literally) has you covered. Designed by women, for women, Helly Hansen has tailored the new softshell jacket, construction pant, and service pant to fit women’s unique needs and physiques.

First of all, “man-shaped” just became my new favorite term. I could not imagine working in a profession that requires me to purchase sized-down men’s clothing to wear to work every day. It is so awesome that Helly Hanson has made this collection for the female body type. These designs are flattering and practical, which will definitely increase productivity. When these women go to work in clothing that they know was made for them in their respective fields, they will feel more empowered, and that will show through their work. Also, these designs are so well thought out. There is seriously nothing better than a well-placed pocket. The construction pants have thigh pockets, back pockets, and a place for their ID card. They really thought of everything. Industrial clothing is already unflattering, so the fact that these pieces were designed with not only women’s bodies in mind, but the movements those bodies will be doing as well.
