The Chicago Scenic studio sounds like an amazing ever changing wheel house of the craft of fabrication and creativity. As someone considering going in to the scenic design world, this company seems like a must do, in terms of internship or apprenticeship. It looked like they have the resources and know how to do just about everything a scenic shop would ever be called on to do and then some. I got the feeling from the video that this company has a strong conception to education as well as great craftsmanship and works on much more than just theatre. I thought the video was a little short, and wished it had been longer so I could get a better idea of the kind of projects they have produced. I wonder if I had seen any of there work on a Chicago stage or even on broadway. In the end, I think this is a company I will have to keep my eyes on if I ever make it to the Chicago theatre scene.
