New Jeremy Piven Sexual Misconduct Allegations From Three Women

Variety: Former “Entourage” star Jeremy Piven has been accused of sexual misconduct by three more women in instances that allegedly occurred between 1985 and 1996.

According to a report from BuzzFeed News, each of the women — one of whom preferred not to be identified — claim to have experienced aggressive sexual advances from Piven, including being pinned on a couch and against a wall. One of the women says that Piven exposed himself to her in his Los Angeles home after a consensual encounter turned aggressive.

I expected to have more of a response to this article than I seem to have now having read more thoroughly about the allegations of sexual harassment and assault against Jeremy Piven. I suppose that this is mostly due to this being a story that has become totally a normal part of every day conversation. We use the words and phrases that this article uses every time we have conversations about Hollywood and any other parts of the entertainment industry. The one part of the article and story that did stand out to me was one of Jeremy Piven's quotes in which he said, "'These allegations, which in one case goes back more than 30 years and the two others more than 20 years ago, are false'". The reference to how much time has passed since the sexual assault encounters happened is interesting-- it brings up the idea of how much a person can change over time. Is it worth mentioning that these predators might have changed at all, or is this really just the obvious excuse that we seem to keep hearing from these people?
