This reminds me of when this past summer when I was working at a lighting company and we did a show around a skyscraper as well. I'm always amazed by the capabilities of an MA2 board. I have limited training on one, but even what I do know is incredible. The ability to do bitmap effects, pixel mapping, bump/beat sequences, etc so easily really brings complex lighting designs into perspective for me. I used to go to these crazy shows and wonder how they ever accomplished such a feat with the lighting, but now i know. With the right console and a good design idea, you can really create anything.

Pixel mapping has always been something that has interested me. Primarily working in sound prior to college I did not have much time to work with the technology necessary to preform these amazing shows. Reading this article even furthered my desire to learn more about this field. I look forward to reading more about this in the years to come and seeing how this method advances through the years.
