Donald Margulies’s ‘Model Apartment’ Makes It at Last

NYTimes.com: Joseph Papp, who as artistic director of the sprawling Public Theater had several performance spaces at his disposal, wasn’t known for mothballing projects. Rising young playwrights don’t typically rewrite their endings because the actors would rather not say the lines. And plays tend not to lose their leading men the day after the reviews come out, especially when the reviews are good.
