Ever since the very first leaked pictures of the wicked movie came out I was in love with the costumes and tiny little attention to details they all had. Paul Tazewell is an amazing designer, designing a lot of Tony nominated shows, including Hamilton, for which he won a Tony. Most of his work is done in theatre so I appreciate that his work on film and television has mostly been done for theatrical Productions as well. he already holds a Tony and an Emmy and I hope that he will win this Oscar, which would make him the second costume designer to ever win three of the four EGOT awards. As designers do not usually get enough credit, this would be amazing for him and it also shows the range of skills of designers– not only to design for one specific medium but to design for a variety of industries as well! While not part of this article– in this article there was a link to another article titled that Wicked is likely to win in three different design categories which is amazing!
