As projection and video and media design becomes a more prominent and important part of live theater everywhere, new technological developments like this are particularly exciting. New high-tech products allow for a greater use of the projection systems and more advanced, complicated, and artistic designs. They will grant designers more freedom as well as make the designing and teching process easier. I feel like almost every show I go to now uses projections to some degree. I have seen some amazing designs that I never thought were possible to incorporate into live theater. It combines beautifully with more traditional sets and adds a whole new layer. In my opinion, it's a beautiful emerging side of theatrical design and I hope to see it flourish even more in the future. I can hardly wait to see the beautiful designs that are created in the future that utilize this advanced technology.
