It’s sad to see communities be shut down as a result of Covid, not just during it. Venues like PianoFight provided students with a place to express themselves and perform so it’s a shame in the slow recovery from a time where many people desire to express themselves again not all resources are available. I liked the quote from William about saying yes to everything from podcasts to games to shows because saying no wasn’t as fun. It’s upsetting that a place that experimented for fifteen years had to close for uncontrollable reasons. I hope the show stock remains of the venue are recycled and/or disposed of as effectively as possible. Theatre is a hidden wasteful industry known for chucking mass amounts of structures and sets away which is often amplified by theatres when they are shut down and forced to dump everything they have.
