This seems like such a wonderful show. I think a comedy with more serious undertones is such a good genre. It’s so reflective of life, things can be really fun but also sad in the background. Also this show, even though I’ve never seen it, is really personal to me. My dad has leukemia and has been in the hospital for a very long time, so I completely understand what it is like for a family to be under the pressure of all those medical bills. I think that it is really incredible that the theatre is sticking to and exhibiting the actual message of the show. Giving to the Leukemia Foundation really adds to the reach and importance of the show. And it’s not like they are only doing it one night, it's sustained and shows that they are truly committed to the cause. I think that often theatres put on shows with really strong messages but don’t actually follow those themselves.
