Bjarke Ingels Group Designs a New York Film Studio for Robert De Niro

mymodernmet.com: Say hello to the “first vertical film studio in the world.” Bjarke Ingels Group, or BIG, will soon begin construction on the 760,000 square-foot film studio in Queens. New York developer Wildflower Ltd. worked with actor Robert De Niro, his son Raphael De Niro (who works as a real estate broker), and Jane Rosenthal, a film producer, to develop the $600 million project.

Look, I’ll be real, this project reeks of nepotism and i really don’t see its use, especially in the center of the city. People are so desperate and hungry to center their lives in cities even when a film studio bult outside of new york would be much more useful and feasible to build. However, a consideration like this wouldn’t matter to someone like robert de niro, plus its going to be a boon to his son’s career to build a building like this within New York City. Overall I hate the idea of this happening and I hope everything that could go wrong does. Opps sorry that was mean. I wish robert de niro would just calm down and I wish people across the world would let their children make their own way and earn their own prestige instead of the emptiness of successful nepotists such as the one described in this article.
