Review Rundown: The One Where We Get Timey-Wimey | by No Proscenium
by No Proscenium | Mar, 2022 | No Proscenium: Adventures with The Doctor in London, “digital theatre at its best” out of NYC and more. (Four Reviews)
Now this is what we like to see: a mix of large scale work with beloved characters, daring digital experiments, and long gestating works coming to fruition. Not just in one spot but all over.

I have loved Doctor Who ever since I was little, and I was in deep. The concept for this is really interesting to me. I do think it is appropriate for this theatre to be so interactive, it just makes sense. As someone who would personally give anything to be the Doctor’s companion on all of their adventures, I would love to see this piece in person. I hope to see more interactive theatre like this. I think that it can be really effective especially when stories are naturally filled with so much chaos like in Doctor Who. This is important additionally because when an audience has expectations about what something is going to be it is exponentially harder to meet and go beyond those expectations. When your audience already knows the source material and probably knows it well, they are at risk of leaving disappointed simply because of their preconceived notion of what that art is supposed to look like.
