I find the idea of the Bosch cordless ratchet to be intriguing. While reading the article I found myself wondering if this is really a necessary tool. In all fairness, it seems very well designed. I am specifically a fan of the large paddle trigger, as I tend to prefer that on long, straight-bodied power tools. However, this tool is still a whopping $179, and similar tools from other brands are even more. It makes me wonder who really needs this tool. What problem does this tool do, that one could not accomplish with a hand ratchet, pneumatic ratchet, or a drill/impact with an adapted bit? For the price asked, I could understand the draw of the tool if it had a digital torque gauge that you could read, or use to adjust the maximum applied torque, but any such thing is absent. I look forward to the day when manufacturers ask, "How do we improve upon this?" instead of "how do we add a battery to this?".
