Another Top Kennedy Center Official Resigns

The New York Times: The top official overseeing artistic programming at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has stepped down less than two weeks after his hiring was announced, the latest senior official to resign. Kevin Couch, who was senior vice president of artistic programming, said he left the role on Wednesday. He declined to provide a reason for his resignation.

I give it another week before a top official resigns, its the “Trump Effect.” Anything Trump touches, he becomes a dictator over. This isn’t political, just look at his track record, even before becoming president in his original term, you look at the business records and you can clearly see a pattern of trump takes over -> changes culture -> people don’t like the changes, they’re quite bad, but nothing gets solved -> they resign. Unfortunately, he and the folks he hires just don’t make a good culture to work for, so it’s not surprising seeing old employees, and in this case brand new ones, resign. It also sucks for the performing arts, as it makes one of the best, or was the best, performing arts center look terribly ran (which it currently is) and makes our industry look terrible to the general public. Those who don’t like trump now also don’t like the arts as much because they see his name plastered on one of the most well known arts centers in the world, harming everything.
